share. learn. thrive!
You never know where life is going to take you or what will happen. It's been the most stressful two and a half years I've ever had due to a wide variety of reasons. The positive side is some resolution for the physical difficulties I have had. I fell in January and two months later discovered I broke it. Well...technically, I broke a 2" extra bone that I had in the ankle. In April I had the bone removed and I am doing amazingly well. Unfortunately I have the same extra 2" bone on my right ankle and will need to have surgery to remove it.
The bones kept me from bending much at the ankle so it's odd to have the left one more flexible than the right. I am looking forward to getting the bone removed from the right one, but it's a three full month recovery process and I can't have it done until my left one has healed for another two or three months.
I had let my nutrition slip completely so this last June I started paying attention again. It will help me heal faster and cope with the continued variety of stresses. I have my copy of Thrive Nutrition from 2007, but my copy of the original Thrive with the beans, grains, and the plant stalk coming down like a lighting bolt of energy to the runner....well, it's somewhere. I don't know if I lent both books out and only received the more recent one back or if the original one is still hidden on a book shelf and I am overlooking it somehow.
I'm pretty unhappy about misplacing the book, I really want to make the rejuvenator brownie. I prefer it to any other variation I've seen on it and there are a few other recipes in that book that make it worth holding onto. Hopefully I will find it, but it's been a month now.
So...moving forward and slowly getting back to where I want to be nutritionally, health-wise, and physically.
