Meet Michelle. She is the Vega Community's seventh Member of the Month and is the latest fitness enthusiast to join the Community. Not only is she a kinesology graduate, she also does nutritional consulting, runs a weight loss program at her local community center not to mention running competitively and staying active in her every day life. 1) What is biggest way that the Thrive diet has changed your life?
Consuming a more plant based diet has helped me stabilize my hypoglycemia, reducing my anxiety and thus improving my quality of life. I find my energy levels rise, any water retention disappear, memory strengthen and my optimism return.
2) How and when did you find about Vega products?
I was introduced to the Vega products when they first appeared several years ago. I fell in love with the products and felt extremely confident selling them when I was employed as a Health Consultant at "The Garden Health Foods" store in Vancouver BC
3) What is your favorite vegan recipe?
My favorite vegan recipe is the "Quinoa festive salad" I recently posted here on the community. It is truly delicious, easy to make and light on calories (finding english peas out of season is the hard part, frozen just does not compare - I can let you know who sells them in Vancouver)
4) What is your favorite workout?
I love YRide - which is a spin class with yoga. You get the adrenaline going and then you calm down and do a little relaxing, centering yoga. It's first cathartic and then you find peace.
5) What are your current fitness goals?
My fitness goals are to be in the best shape I can possibly be in. I believe it is one of the only true successes in life. It almost seems alien to me to be any other way.
6) How has the Vega Community impacted your fitness goals/training?
I love the Vega Community! We all are energized by validation which we then return to all paths that we cross. The Vega Community has allowed me to share, which makes me feel validated, which then I return to those who need validation so that they too can move forward in life. It's like holding invisible hands!
7) What motivates you to pursue a healthy lifestyle?
Again, "it is the only true success", everything else does not matter if your health is compromised.
