share. learn. thrive!

So after 3 weeks, I met with my nutritionist for a follow up.  We reviewed my paper work, and I"m now going to begin supplementing a few things in addition to what I"m already doing.  Turns out I"m slightly hypoglycemic, which comes as no surprise as for years I was constantly cutting carbs and eating way too much meat protein.  So, I'm going to slowly start re-introducing grains like quinoa, buckweat, sprouted wheat (still wheat free and gluten free).  Looking forward to making stir fries and fresh salads with this stuff in it!

I'm also going to get a more potent fish oil supplement and a B vitamin complex.  Digestive enzyme are also going to be added in to assist my underactive stomache for the time being.  I"m feeling so good already I can't wait to see what these additions will do.

My  nutritionist gave me a sample of the whole food optimizer in Vanilla Chai to try.  I put it in my smoothie this morning, and to my surprise, I STILL LOVED IT!  So I think once my choco-lot smoothie to go is done, I'm going to switch things up and get a small tub of the optimizer.

Anyone using Vega EFA oil?  It sounds awesome with amazing ingredients....just wondering how people are using it?  In salads?  As a dressing?  Not heated or anything I'm assuming?

Anyway, great day once again.  Probably won't update for a bit....but wanted to share.

Hello Claudia,

The EFA Oil is an amazing product and I use it on almost everything!

I make my own salad dressing with the oil and apple cider vinegar. It's also great drizzled over warm or hot dishes. My favorite is over quinoa and veggies. The EFA Oilis not meant to be used for baking, frying or other high temperature cooking.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do

Alana
