Meet our Inventory Coordinator: Alana

Birds of a feather… Alana, a vegetarian from the age of five, finds her home on Sequel’s operations team. Alana is the gal in charge of making sure your favorite Vega goodies are in-stock.

What drew you to working at Sequel Naturals?
I was drawn to working for a company that believes in what I do: a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle.

How long have you worked at Sequel?
I’m a newbie; this is my second month.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I’m all about variety. Every day is new; new challenges, new learnings. It keeps my job interesting!

What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon?
Getting out and enjoying the city with friends or family. My favorite is a walk on the seawall followed by lunch. And like I said, I love variety, so it’s a different lunch spot each week.

What is your favorite vegetarian treat?
Hmmm, I would have to say vegan chocolate.

What inspired you to go veg?
When I was five-years-old I was eating chicken and asked my mom where chicken came from. After she explained, I knew I was done. I have been vegetarian from that moment. A couple years ago, I decided to take a further step and became vegan. I watched a movie on slaughterhouses with my dad and knew I could never look back.

What is your favorite way to stay active?
Bootcamp – It gets me in shape and is a great way to meet people. Right now, I’m taking a local class five nights a week.

If you could live anywhere in the world, it would be… Hawaii is my absolute favorite place in the world. The beautiful scenery, the weather, the beach, the smell – I love it all!
