I have found that Green green smoothies work best for keeping my fat % low and feeding my muscles at the same time. I have lost 4% fat this summer. A huge undertaking for me b/c I do not eat grains, except sprouted buckwheat, I eat mostly raw, very low sugar so this has been a real experimental time for me to see what works. These smoothies are key!

Super Fat Loss Green Smoothie!

1/3 large cucumber or 1/2 smaller cucumber
3 stalks celery
1/2 lemon, yellow skin peeled, preserving white flesh
1 handful parsley or cilantro
1 granny smith apple
4 oz. greens of choice
3 cups water
Stevia to taste
4 TBS hemp protein or Vega protein powder
1 TBS barley grass juice powder
2 tsp bee pollen
1 TBS goji berries

Place all ingredients in your Wideside Blendtec Blender Pitcherand blend for about a minute or so. This recipe will yeild 3 smoothies for your day or for two day's worth. Perfect post workout meal and the ultimate grab and go convenience food. If you'd like to check out more of my recipes, feel free to visit my site at www.thegreensmoothiechallenge.com
