share. learn. thrive!
Jay Howard is a IZOD IndyCar® Series and Indianapolis 500 professional racecar driver, driving the No. 88 Service Central Honda powered Dallara for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in 2011.
Being a fan of Vega and an avid user of social media, we connected with Jay on Twitter late 2011. Recently he sent us a list of his top products that have helped him in his workouts.
I have this in lemon and lime flavor. Again, like this product as well, very similar to the recovery drink, mix with water and drink, goes down easy and tastes not bad at all. The first time I tried this was before soccer, it was amazing! I covered an additional 1.5 miles in the game and just felt great. The goalkeeper even commented and said to me, you are all over the pitch covering everyone.
It was nice to have someone notice how hard I was working, but more to the point, I play with this guy every week and he see the difference. I told him about the product, I will get him hooked as well!!! It's amazing when you are gasping for another breathe of air, this product gives you the energy to go that bit further. Not sure if it was my imagination, but I felt lighter on my feet, guess that is just part of not feeling as tired and more energized.
Another thing about this product is, literally 15 mins after I take it, I feel my energy rise and can't stop moving! Maybe not the best way to describe it, but makes me feel upbeat, alert and ready to train. There is no crash after, which is another bonus!
I have the Tropical flavor. This could possibly be my favorite product! The taste is great, I am not as sore the next day after a hard workout, nothing but good things to say. I mix this straight with water.
3. ChlorEssence
I am taking 6-8 of these daily on hard workout days, back down to 2 a day if I am not training. A combination of this and all the products, but I have seen an increase in muscle definition and have gotten slightly leaner, so I am happy!
About Jay:

In 2005, he took home the U.S. Formula Ford Zetec Championship and Rookie of the Year Honors; breaking eventual Indy 500 winner Dan Weldon’s Series record, with nine wins. That year, he captured six pole positions and established a Series record, with six consecutive victories.
Outside of professionally racing, Howard is regarded as one of the most fit athletes in all of motorsports and trains up-and-coming future starts through his Screaming Talent karting team and his engine-building business, Ogden Race Engines.
