{EAT} Primal Spirit Soy Jerky - Nom nom delish

I’m in love with a jerky.

I have found a little purse sized yum stick that has totally rocked my world. It’s delicious, about 80 calories and packs 10 grams of protein per serving.

Oh yes, it’s soy jerky.

This came in a vegan food box swap I recently participated in over at The Verdant Life. I also participate in another food swap through Lean Green Beanand I have to say that these bloggers are rock stars for putting so much effort into something that they’re not getting paid for.

But I digress….

In my wee box of grub love, Lindsay over at Two Formerly Fat Chicks (my foodie swap buddy) included this little jerky treat and I can assure you, it’s going to live on in my life as a quick fix for my “hangry” moments when I think my head will pop off if I don’t eat immediately. My husband should keep some of these around for said moments as he typically bears the brunt of my "crazy hangry lady" episodes.

They aren't pretty....

Back to the jerky.

It’s got a great texture – juicy and not too dry or chewy. I tried the BBQ jerky, but they have a few other flavors as well.

So, out of curiosity I headed over to the jerky maker's websiteto get to know the master’s of my new jerkyverse. Their brand is very Patagonia meets Lara bar. It’s definitely positioned as a grab and go snack for the on-the-go’er and/or people who can’t access lunch while dangling from a cliff.

I’m not sure I’m either as I don’t mountain climb and I rarely leave my pj’s these days, but it’s damn good shizzel, so I’m all over it.

Well done peeps at Primal!
