share. learn. thrive!
Meet Richard, the Vega Community's eighth Member of the Month! Richard joined our community early this Fall, as a compliment to his journey as a vegetarian. Richard recognizes just how resourceful our community is and actively participates in our forum and community blog to exchange the information he needs to continue on his path to health!
Interesting fact...
Richard is passionate about playing hockey and has been a goalie for most of his life. He runs a goalie development service called ISTOP LAPUCK, dedicated to helping hockey goalies hone their skills and improve their game, as well as consulting coaches on the position
Read our Q&A with Richard...
1) What is the biggest way that Thrive diet has changed your life?
Becoming a vegetarian has made so many positive changes in my health! Eating healthy with the added aid of Vega products helps me meet all my nutritional needs, keeps me strong, energetic and alert!
2) How and when did you discover about Vega products?
Vega products, as with Brendan Brazier and Thrive, were introduced to me by a very important woman in my life. She is the one that further encouraged me to make the changes I needed for my health and to discover, experiment with Brendan's products. Thank you Dawn, XO!
3) What is your favorite vegan recipe?
That would be a hard one as I haven't explored many recipes on my own yet (which I hope to change of course). If I say sushi, does that count? LOL, sorry to disappoint folks :P
4) What is your favorite workout?
Currently I alternate days between lifting weights and running. Add to the mix that I play hockey and instruct goalies at all amateur levels. My health has improved 200%!
5) What are your current fitness goals?
At 42 and with a young spirit, my aim is to keep young and fit as long as I live! I've already passed a huge hurdle by running 5Ks 3 times a week. I've finally beat my asthma! There is no looking back now, bring on the challenges!!
6) How has the Vega community impacted your fitness goals/training?
With the many knowledgeable people contributing to the community, almost any question can be answered and there is lots of motivation...it's an awesome place! There is much active support and I am able to intellectually review and apply the information to my training and diet.
7) What motivates you to pursue a healthy lifestyle?
Easy...the positive attributes and rewards staying fit and eating well brings to me! To a long life!
