I've made the chocolate blueberry energy bars a few times, as well as a carrot protein energy bar someone posted on this site.  I store them individually in my freezer... but when I take them on a workout (ski or bike), they wind up mooshed all over my baggie.  Is there a way to get and keep them firm?

Thank you!  Though I was using fresh dates, I did not dehydrate them.  I just got an excalibur dehydrator so I'll give it a shot.

Hi Stacey,
I've had that problem as well. A couple of tips: use fresh dates instead of soaked dried dates (these have a lot more water content). And try dehydrating the bars for a few hours using a dehydrator or on the lowest setting on your oven. This firms them up a bit.
