Introducing… SaviSeed by Sequel Naturals!

As a part of the Vega Community, you’re a fan of Vega products and love whole foods and all of their plant-based goodness… So I am excited to introduce you to the latest addition to the Sequel family – a brand new product line called SaviSeed.

What are SaviSeeds?

They look, smell and taste like nuts, but they are seeds – sacha inchi seeds to be exact. SaviSeeds are also sometimes known by their nickname, the Inca Peanut.

With 7000mg of Omega 3 per serving, SaviSeeds are the richest source of Omega 3 on the planet! They offer 13 times more Omega 3 than wild salmon, and are also packed with complete protein, antioxidants and taste amazing! There are three scrumptious flavors available, Cocoa Kissed, Karmalized and Oh Natural.

You can snack on SaviSeeds with a clear conscience – they are certified organic, fairly-traded and sustainably produced. Grown in Peru for centuries, SaviSeed crops help to return previously cleared land of the Amazon rainforest to its native state while at the same time supporting the economy for rural farmers.

Why is Omega 3 so important?

Not every fat is good for you… bad fats like trans fats and saturated fats should be eliminated or kept at a minimum. But there are also good fats like the essential fatty acid Omega 3 - which is essential for normal growth and development. Since Omega 3 is not naturally produced by the body, it’s important to consume Omega 3 rich foods to reduce inflammation and promote heart, joint and mental health, and even help to prevent cancer and disease.

SaviSeed is an excellent way to get enough Omega 3 into your diet – while staying plant-based and enjoying a delicious snack at the same time!

SaviSeed is available in 5 oz pouches and snack-sized 1 oz packages. It will begin shipping to stores this month – keep your eyes open at your favourite store. If you don’t see it you can request that they order it in! Find out more about SaviSeed on the official website: http://saviseed.com/

Touring with my ballet company requires me to think ahead for food options. Being a vegetarian, I rarely have good protein choices when on the road. I always bring things with me. This would make a great addition to my tour survival kit!!!

These sound great. I travel all the time for work and take my whole food health optimizer with me. This would be a great addition to my bag of vegan goodies!

SaviSeed sounds really delicious! I've been Vegan for 5 months now, and I am always looking for new Vegan food choices for Omega 3. I try to play golf twice a week, and about the 13th hole, I find myself reaching for a snack to give me energy to be able to finish the 18th hole strong. SaviSeed seems like it would be the perfect snack food on the golf course. I look forward to trying it out.

SaviSeed sounds like a very good snack to have for on the go, or to grab if you didn't have time to fix a meal. I'm looking forward to trying the three flavors.

I'd love to try these!
Why?
I'm just bored of eating hemp seeds for their good protein ratio for my afternoon snack and nuts don't work so well for me that i'd eat them every day...
If this gives me a better omega3 ratio than flax, it will also save me time from grinding it before eating it...
Also I have tried so many "super" food since I became a vegan, I'm always keen on trying a new one and see how it goes and it I want it for my staple or not.

Can't wait to find these at my local grocery! Keep putting out great products and I'll keep eating them :)

It's quite simple for me Brendan. I have to balance the challenge of being a new vegetarian dealing with nut allergies. I understand the needs for omegas and how nuts can be a valued benefit to such a nutritional plan. Until I get tested for these allergies, a snack like this could further help support my immune system with EFAs. I already use your complete meal powder and energy powder with good results!

Good luck to all!

Where have you been my whole life, Saviseed? I have been eating chia to get my omega 3's and I thought they were amazing. Now my world is rocked! They are even a cocoa flavor!!
