share. learn. thrive!

Koreann is one of the lovely ladies on Sequel’s sales team. Her days consist of multitasking: visiting stores in her Vancouver Island territory, fitting in a run, checking emails, cooking, and sometimes -kickboxing!

Get to know Koreann a little through her answers to these nine questions...

1. What brought you to work at Sequel Naturals?

I started demoing for Sequel while I was finishing up my program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I saw a posting on our bulletin board and applied. It was meant to be! Soon after I became one of the first Inside Sales Reps which I enjoyed for about two years and have recently re-located to Vancouver Island for an Outside Sales Rep position.

2. How long have you worked at Sequel?

In August it will be 3 years!

3. What does a typical work day look like?

Since I’m a morning person I tend to roll out of bed around 6 am and stumble to my computer right away to check emails and my calendar. From there I’ll head out for a run and hit the gym on the way home. When I get home I make my smoothie (right now my favorite is 1 scoop vanilla sport protein, ½ banana, 1 cup almond milk, 2 tbsp vanilla almond S&G, ice/water) and get ready for the day. My territory is a dream and I’m in and out of stores all day getting people as excited about Vega as I am.

4. What do you enjoy most about your job?

There are so many things I could go on and on about when it comes to working for a company like Sequel. The people on our team are amazing, the staff in our stores incredibly supportive but lately my favorite part is getting the chance to talk to our end consumers about their stories and how Vega has changed their life. Whether it’s at a health show, in a grocery store or discovering my new hairdresser is our biggest fan - I can’t get enough of it.

5. What do you consider your personal best?

When I say I’m going to do something and actually do it. I have a long list of things I want to do but life get’s busy and it’s hard to actually do them. Recent things I can check of my list would be moving to the island for my outside position, going to Thailand with the girls to train at a Muay Thai camp, and signing up for dance lessons!

6. What is your favorite way to spend a Saturday afternoon?

It’s definitely weather dependant. If it’s sunny you could catch me floating on an air mattress in a lake or a pool reading a book - Sounds boring but to me it’s heaven. If it’s raining you’d most likely find me in the kitchen cooking something up or shopping... I do like to shop.

7. What is your favorite vegetarian treat?

I’ve recently discovered the carrot millet muffins at the Wildfire Bakery here in Victoria and they’re amazing!

8. What is your favorite way to stay active?

Hitting things! Heidi introduced me to kickboxing and I know I will never find a better workout in my whole life.

9. If you could live anywhere in the world, it would be…
Does time travel count? I love BC and can’t imagine living anywhere else however I would like to experience a simpler time. I know today’s world has it’s conveniences and I appreciate them all but I’d love to travel back to when people ate the vegetables they grew, wore they clothes they sewed and had to entertain themselves without TV or Internet.
