Question about Iodine content
Hey there!
I recently discovered the Vega products and love them - thanks!
question - I have Graves Disease, which means I have to be very aware of my iodine intake, essentially reducing it to near zero. I have been using VEGA SPORT vanilla protein supplement but can't find anywhere that lists the iodine content.
if you could let me know, and any other Vega products that might be suitable (iodine free) that would be…

Vega lets me enjoy smoothies again!
As a full time fitness trainer, I have to eat. A lot. It's gotten to the point that I see food mainly as fuel instead of something to be enjoyed. Thankfully I have a partner who's an amazing cook who reminds me sometimes of the latter.
Take smoothies, for example. A friend who saw me make one recently got very queasy at the sight of me throwing a cup of dry oatmeal and 3 tbsp of ground flax seeds on top a couple bananas and frozen wheatgrass cubes. The big scoop of green Vega berry…

Please go back to original formulation or atleast the original nutritional content
I am sooo disappointed with the new supplemental facts.
Biotin has essentially disappeared. Macca way down. The information on proportion of omega 3 to omega 6 is no longer available.
Not to mention the simple fact that there is no difference between having 100% RDA of all vitamins in the old 2 scoops vs 50% in the new 1 scoop (and the new size of the scooper is larger than the old scooper). The math is essentially the same on nutrients with a significant downgrade in…

Vega Health Optimizer vs. Vega Sport
I have a question, hoping someone replies!
I work out 5-6 times out of the week mainly running but am going to include more strength training. I can’t decide between the vega sport or the vega health optimizer. The vega sport has more protein per calorie ratio. But the vega health optimizer has some good vitamins and minerals, like the maca, chlorella, ect (which right now I am trying to balance hormones and need maca). I know in the Vega Optimum Performance books he talks about not…

Sport and energy drinks can be found at every grocery store, vending machine and event we attend these days offering 3 to 8 hours of "natural energy" in every bottle. The role of the basic sport drink is to fuel and hydrate an athlete during competition or training but how many of us reach for one when fatigue sets in mid-day at work or before our daily commute? These days energy drinks are consumed in never ending quantities like coffee without a second thought.…

Yoga and Running
Through my 21 years of running and 11 years of yoga I have noticed many similarities between the two activities. Let’s explore some.
Health. Yoga and running compliment each other well. I love the cardio from running and the flexibility from yoga. Both give me physical and mental strength and stamina.
Discipline. It takes commitment and discipline to get on the mat or to put on some shoes to run. The more I did it the more it became part of my…

Earth Day, Friday April 22, is the largest, most celebrated environmental event worldwide. It’s a day where we should stop thinking about making our daily habits more eco-friendly, and actually do them. It’s a great time to start something new and reduce your own carbon footprint by starting your own compost.
Composting is a natural decaying process involving millions of micro-organisms which transforms garden clippings, leftover food scraps, leaves, etc. into rich organic…
