If you read my blog, you probably already know about my raw cupcakes. I especially like to make some during the holidays, so Halloween is no exception.…
share. learn. thrive!
As a long time user and advocate of Vega's Whole Food Health Optimizer, I was hesitant about this "new kid on the block". Is Vega One really an improvement?
As a Nutritionist (and compulsive label reader) my priority is to understand the nutritional benefits, but also the points of difference between one product and another. My comparison of the changes in formulation are based on objective criteria, and actual quantitative differences.…

For years people have told me they feel amazing when they follow the nutritional principals in the Thrive book series. Many have been able to stop taking medication, lower cholesterol, reduce body fat, reduce sugar cravings, improve sleep quality and mental clarity and boost athletic performance.
But, in spite…

The Great Breakfast Experiment
I broke away from my usual breakfast tradition to experiment with some Vanilla Chai Complete Whole Food Health Optimizer. I came up with this energy boosting concoction.

Overnight soak:
1 cup dry oatmeal (you can also use a dry muesli mix)
2 1/2 cups of vanilla rooibos tea (you can use another liquid)
In the morning, stir in:

Much more than a recipe book!
Just finished reading the Brendan Brazier's third book Whole Food To Thrive . It "wowed" me! Everyone should be aware of the information in this book. At first I thought it was mostly a recipe book but it's rich in nutritional, health and environmental facts. Brendan has a gift of writing simply. I can grasp…

Less than two months to go before the Test of Metal. I'm fine tuning my sleep patterns (when I can), hydrating every time I think about it, mixing longer training runs (for endurance) with shorter, more intense, higher-gear bursts. I mostly start my day off with a smoothie of fruit, Vega Sport Protein, MacaSure, and Chlorella, switching up with Vega Whole Food Health Optimizer occasionally.
While my diet has slowly been migrating to more veggie and fruit-centric, the longer and harder…

In The Vega Kitchen: Banana Chamomile Morning Smoothie
In an effort to re-juvenate both mind and body, I recently made the decision to reclaim my weekends. I distributed my long list of weekend to-do's throughout my week and started making 'weekend goals' instead; such as "feng-shui my book shelf" and "sign up for a new yoga class." I now feel more energized carrying out weekly chores, and re-motivated in all areas of my life.
With truly calming effects because I know it can sometimes be difficult to unwind on the weekend, our…

LUNCH TIME SMOOTHIE!
Hello Vega Community!
I just wanted to share that I finished my mega vega smoothie. It included whole food optimizer, sport performance optimizer, maca powder, strawberries, raspberries, banana, and orange juice. Today I got complete protein, fiber, antioxidants, probiotics & enzymes, increased my mental & motor performance, and replenished my electrolyes.
What's your smoothie of the day?
