Post your vision boards!

I know that some people may think that you're vision boards are personal, but in my opinion, sharing it with like minded people is simply claiming it to the Universe and it can inspire people on a similar journey :) Also, it's a great way to get to know eachother a little bit better! If you've never made one before, I highly recommend it. Simply cut out pictures of places you would like to go, people you would like to meet, goals for the month/season/year and let your creativity run wild! :)…

YOGA

I've been putting off yoga for a long time now. FInally, I decided no excuses just make it part of your routine. I went to my first class last night. It was pretty awesome! I did a 60 minute hot yoga class that was unbelievable.

When I got home I felt like I was full of life. Really energized and full of life. Paradoxically, I was also relaxed/destressed and felt great.  I had a great sleep last night, and I'm already sold on yoga after just one visit. I think I'll be using it…

Sunday Stretch - Happy Feet!

When was the last time you stretched your toes and the soles of your feet?

Sit on your heels with your toes curled under. If it’s too much you can stand on your knees or lean forward to decrease the stretch. If you want to intensify you can lean back. Stay here for about a minute. You can also stretch your shoulders and triceps by raising…

P90X week 2

The basic lowdown on my fitness as of today

I've attempted the full 90 day workout program before and succeeded without controlling my diet.  When i did i knew i was only going in full on vegan.  I searched out alternative protein options and found Vega.  That was maybe 2 years ago.  Some little health store in Calgary.  I've been a commited Vega customer ever since.  I love the way i feel now.  I've experimented with all the products that vega has, and now that the sport…

Dear Vega: Today I Fought for you

It was the beginning of the weekend, and unfortunately my fridge was all out of greens (cant live life without my Kale, man serious obsession) so I walked over to one of my local close to college co-op stores. A month ago, I was sure I had seen a bunch of Vega Products, but today there is just the Vega Sport protein powder (which I needed anyways). When I asked a sales person what had happened she said they weren't going to have the products anymore, not enough interest. So I did what anyone…

Vega Health Optimizer vs. Vega Sport

I have a question, hoping someone replies!

I work out 5-6 times out of the week mainly running but am going to include more strength training. I can’t decide between the vega sport or the vega health optimizer. The vega sport has more protein per calorie ratio. But the vega health optimizer has some good vitamins and minerals, like the maca, chlorella, ect (which right now I am trying to balance hormones and need maca). I know in the Vega Optimum Performance books he talks about not…

Old vega sport trial: inspirational.

Regular day of running and working out around the house the time was somewhere near mid morning and I had been up for a few hours.

I took the a half scoop plus of powder mixed it with some tea from last night and some juice.    Tired from the days previous I took the mixed drink/juice to my bed, drank it, and entered a laying cross legged or laying square pose with a intention towards a yin yoga session including Shavasana.

Failing asleep or in to a very closed almost shaman…

Strength Training for Endurance Athletes: Part 2 of 3

Compare two runners who are equal in all respects except for muscular strength and the stronger one will be faster over any distance. The lower percentage of maximum strength needed for each stride translates into greater muscle efficacy and therefore, greater endurance. If one runner can squat 10% more than another, his muscles won’t have to work as hard to move his body forward, resulting in significant endurance gains.

When muscles don’t have to work as…

Strength Training for Endurance Athletes: Part 1 of 3

Buying into the myth, runners neglected to lift weights because they thought it would add body-slowing bulk, yet we know now that greater strength will ultimately improve endurance. Sadly, this myth came to pass because strength training was being lumped into the bodybuilding culture; with bodybuilders lifting weights to get bigger, as well as for definition and physical symmetry.

In the early eighties,…
