So I have been taking Vega consistently one or two times a day for almost a month...and I feel great! I have to say, though, that I find my sleep patterns changing the most. I attribute this to the…Continue

How did you discover Vega?
When I became a vegan I needed to find a protein shake that would fuel my many activities. I went to my local health food store and they recommended vega.
Tell us a little more about yourself
I am a triathlete and a varsity soccer player. I am finishing my masters in kinesiology and am writing my thesis on raw food athletes (which I now am). I am doing a study on vega and athletic performance. I am going to switch one meal with a vega shake every day for 3 months. After the 3 months I will test to see how my physical performance has improved. It's going to be great. I will log in every day to report on my progress. Here we go :)

Freeing the Mind

To me, the ingredients of freeing the mind and attracting vitality consist of the following things:

1) Deep breathing

2) Blood flow

3) Touch

4) Joy

5) Release &

6) Passion (although there are certainly more)

What a better way to achieve this than through absolutely divine sex or masturbation!!

After being intimate with my partner (or myself) I walk out the door with the biggest smile on my face, I've got the just-had-sex glow, and… Continue

Food combining

I have done much reading on this subject. And, of course, like any theory you MUST try it out on yourself. I work with Dr. Lemon (a brilliant sports nutritionist) at Western and it seems that the body is well equiped to handle carbs, protein, and fat and that the body knows which enzymes to activate to break down specific foods.

Me personally, I have found that combining carbs, proteins, and fats at every meal. It gives me the most energy and this energy is sustained throughout the… Continue

Raw Food Assists Injury Rehabilitation - how to heal a strained muscle

Day 7:

I have been following the Vega program and taking Vega's chocolate protein powder for a week now. At the same time I have been training twice a day for varsity soccer. Yesterday I tore my pectoral muscle. OUCH!!

Since being a raw foodist I can hardly believe how quickly my body recovers from injury. Yesterday I could barely shift gears and this morning I only feel a little stiffness. According to Viktoras of the Hippocrates Centre says that the rich enzyme supply of… Continue

Hi Sarah, I see that you are from London.
You had asked what sport I do. I don't really play sports (unless just for fun), but I love to weigh train, power walk and be active!
I have been a vegan for 7 years and I love it!! A lot of things that I eat are Raw but I also enjoy some cooked foods as well, like steamed vegetables and brown rice.
I think it is great that you are doing your thesis on the Raw food diet for athletes.
If you make a trip to Toronto you should definitely check out www.livefoodbar.com it is a restaurant that is all vegan and also serves many dishes that are RAW- make sure to try a RAW dessert! The food is Excellent!!

WoW 8 years! I never even thought you were that old... Seeing that I have honestly have lost 50 pounds over the last half of the year my heart is probably happy...

Vega is my main stay and I eat Chick peas like there's no tomorrow must be the calcium needs as chick peas are a better source than milk. Seeing I work in visual communications calcium is on the hit list if your using your eyes more. Constantly focusing on the Computer screen means your eating more calcium. I will post my new work out dance video that exhibits my weight lost.
Not 100 percent raw yet as it next to impossible being on the road as much as am however we don't turn the stove on to often - maybe twice a month - tops!

Hi Sarah. I would love it if you could work with the fencing team! I'm captain for the women's side so the best way to talk to my coach is probably through me. My coach is really quite frazzled right now! As I said I'd love to learn about your research. I'll give you a call sometime, I've just got two more exams to worry about and than I'll be free to focus on fencing. Look forward to talking with you.

There is an athlete pictured as a Vega ambassador link, on the Sequel homepage but I can seem to find her on the actual ambassador page. I would like to know if she has a website. Anyone know how this person could be contacted? She is wearing a green sports bra and a green waist band. Sorry to post this here but I didn't see anywhere else ie-"contact us, info etc" Thanks in advance.
