Last month me and some friends I met at Bonnaroo decided to check out Warrior Dash in Charlotte NC. It is a 3.5 mile obstacle course with ropes, mud, tire course and lots of fun. They travel all over the US so you can check the website at www.warriordash.com. I had one of the Vega energy bars before the race and recovered quickly with the WFHO. I have found that the best way to bring myself back to myself involves silence and gratitude. I picked up this tip from a friend a few summers ago when we spent a weekend on an organic farm in the Czech Republic. It was called silent meals. For one meal a day (typically lunch) I bring my food with me outside, even if it is a little cold and I eat in silence.
