When I was researching vegan books and how to fuel an athlete's body with a vegan diet I came across Thrive.
Tell us a little more about yourself
I love eating healthy and working out! I've been an athlete my whole life, and played big ten volleyball. In the past year I have really developed an interest in eating a plant based diet, and I LOVE it. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, adventures and helping others.

Oh, that stinks! Have you been able to play at least for fun since then?

Hi Rachel! I saw your comment on my page. Yes! I played college ball at Central Connecticut State University (DI, Northeast Conference). Where did you play? It's great to connect to other vegan volleyballers!!
Hi! Actually, I am not technically doing one right now. I am actually doing APY 60, BUT, I just ordered Rockin Body to supplement my cardio, and I have a bid on Ho Ale Ke Kino (Tony's Hawaiian yoga video). I have done a full round of p90x with my hubby, who loved it and is currently doing his 3rd round! (Well, he did the first 2 in a row, and then took a year long hiatus. snicker.) I am a yoga teacher in Southwest Missouri, and up until this past few months, a professional singer/dancer in Branson...but I may now be retiring from that and focusing on the fitness side of my life more (my yoga business). I did p90x to support my hubby, but I admit, being a girl who loves the outdoors and would rather be cardio-ing it up outside or anywhere on my yoga mat, it was not my total favorite to do...but I did it! =-) What program are you doing? ooh, and if you are on facebook, you can find me and my business under Vessels of Clay Yoga...which is not why I joined this, indidentally. Am doing an accountability challenge with some friends on FB who do Beachbody as well, and thought this would be fun!
Hi Rachel. Thanks for friending me. I became a vegetarian 8 years ago because of animal cruelty concerns. I started considering myself "plant based" about 3 years ago because of health concerns. I've never felt so good! Good luck on your journey.
Go check out my "Step by Step into Raw" on my site :) Transitioning into raw can be challenging but just stick to it girl! You are on an awesome journey to a better you!
I have read 80-10-10. Its good info but really it’s all about what your body is telling you to do. Listen to your cravings - If you desire 5 avocados then for goodness-sakes - eat them just try to avoid the "bad" stuff and find a better, healthier alternative. There is a reason why your intelligent body is having this craving so you want to satisfy it.
I've been raw for a over a year and loving every moment! I rarely come here so if you want to learn more about what I do with RAW check out my website: www.rawkurious.com.
Hope to see you there and thanks for adding me to your circle :)
I am slowly working my way to a plant-based approach to eating - I'd say at least 6 months now. Going in too fast would not have been very successful for me!

Hi Rachel- I have been full vegetarian for about 6 1/2 years but started on this path in 1996. It was a very gradual transition! :-)

Hi Rachel,
I've been plant-based for about 4 years...and loving it! How about you?

Hi Rachel!
I am slowly working my way to a plant-based approach to eating - I'd say at least 6 months now. Going in too fast would not have been very successful for me!
Happy New Year!
