I'm a professional performing artist with so far the luck of not living in a box yet. I try to engage and explore all areas of the arts, focusing on acting and singing but not limited to writing, painting, crafting, piano, photography, food critic, wine tasting, snow shoveling, gambling...

After being a "I can never go vegetarian because I love steak too much", I recently have taken the plunge and gone vegan for health reasons. I'm also trying to go mostly raw as well with some difficulty with grains. I would say I'm somewhat flexible and may indulge in something every so often, but I'm trying to make that as rare as possible.

I have struggled with weight for most of my life, having been rather overweight and one point. But I've also done a lot of martial arts and extreme sports so I find that my body needs to work extra hard to burn any fat because it's used to hard work. I'm still actively weight/strength training and doing a variety of cardio and hot yoga.

Right now, I'm at what I think is my body's "happy place" because I have not been able to get past this plateau. And it's annoying because my "happy place" is also a chubby place. I've been advised to replace two meals with shakes per day, which I am attempting now. At this point, I'm willing to try anything to get my muscle definition to show more prominently.

The combination of lessons, and the opportunity to meet Brendan Brazier at the Toronto Vegetarian Food Fair have inspired me to change my nutritional ways more permanently than my many past attempts. While I have gone raw and… Continue
