The method I use for mental Spring cleaning is quite simple: I go off-line. For a week.
Now this takes quite a bit of gumption as for me it's a source of income (I do graphic design). However, aside from it being money in my pocket, it's a source of communication, education, and relaxation. This story is short, simple and straightforward.
The reason I became vegan in the first place is because of the work of John Robbins and his book Diet For A New America. I put off reading it as I knew that if it laid out a compelling argument I'd have little choice but to follow the path of logic, reason and compassion straight into becoming a vegan.
