How did you discover Vega?
I saw Brendan speak at the Vegetarian Food Fair here in Toronto a few years ago and picked up his book the Thrive Diet. Since then I have incorporated the principles of the Thrive Diet and many of the Vega products into my everyday life and fitness routines.
Tell us a little more about yourself
I am a 28 year old aspiring Mixed Martial Artist who actively trains and competes in MMA, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I am nearly 85% raw with a diet focused on whole plant based foods free from any gluten, soy, meat, dairy, or corn. I believe my diet has played a major part in my continuing success as an athlete.

I've recently become a Vega Ambassador and am extremely excited and proud to be a part of the family and be able to help spread the word. My other sponsors include RVCA clothing, Gentleman's Fight Club, Live Organic Food Bar, Undisputed MMA, and Adrift Skateboard Shop.

'Berry Nice to Meet You' Post Workout Smoothie

Ok well to tell you the truth I just made that name up right now, haha. This smoothie was previously unnamed but needed a little zing to it to make it blog worthy!

Like most of us Vega athletes I train extremely hard and post workout nutrition is a huge part of the game. After a lot of trial and error and help from Vega, as well as Brendan and his Thrive Diet opus I believe I have finally mastered the art of the post workout smoothie! It may seem like a lot of ingredients and… Continue

Winter Workout Drink for the Outdoor Athlete

Not all of us are blessed with year round warm weather and choose to maintain our outdoor training through rain, sleet, and snow. Whether it be running, cycling, or kettlebells we are still motivated and determined to maintain our training and progress through less than desirable circumstances. Aside from a few extra layers and some weatherproof gear one of my favorite additions to my wintertime routine is Cayenne Pepper. Boasting dozens of health benefits the most relative in this case are… Continue

Oh super, would you mind if we set up a phone date...unless of course you happen to live in London ;)

Fabulous profile. Would you be willing to do a quick interview for my thesis. I have a designated section for raw food athletes. An MMA fighter would be killer!!

Hey I was just doing some research on this site and read in your profile that you saw Brendan a few years ago at the Vegetarian Food Fair. I'm planning to go this year also and I hope that I am inspired! I bought his books a few months ago and am reading them and trying to slowly incorporate it into my life in small steps. How has Thrive helped you? What results and changes have you seen most?

Have a good day and thanks for your time!

Steve
