“Too early, too cold, my legs hurt, I was up late;” sound familiar? During the winter months, it can be easy to find reasons for why not to exercise. So, what’s your plan for staying motivated this time of the year?
For some, it might be joining a running club or finding a training buddy to help you stay on track. For others, it could be keeping an exercise journal to compare how you feel before and after your workouts.
Your challenge this month: Reveal your best excuses for skipping out on the gym or your scheduled run, and then tell us your plan (or goal) for overcoming them!

Comment by stacialowe on October 8, 2011 at 11:36am hmm . . "It's too cold!" I am new to runing so I am slowing buying some cold weather gear for running and hopefully some Cross country Skiing. Still on the list are an ear/head band, gloves and vest and a couple more Under Armor shirts.

So, my plan to overcome this excuse is to have a goal on paper that says, "I have so much energy when I run at least 2 times a week, cycle at least 50 miles a week and strength train 4 times a week. I am addicted to it. I have the body of an athlete and I love how I feel and look." I see myself at my ideal size and weight and enjoy the benefits of a disciplined lifestyle. And of course the plant based diet is giving me the energy I need to THRIVE!
