Raw almond butter. On and in everything :)

Soaked barley (or any grain/pseudograin soaked) with Soaked almonds, Raisins (or other fruit) and chocolate nibs is my favorite breakfast food right now.

But to take with me on the road, APPLES! ; often taken for granted, this is such a great snack and always hits the spot, and easy to find locally.

Chia seeds. I've been eating these almost everyday since I read the book "Born to Run".

I love a great smoothie in the morning after my work out. During the day I snack on apples and raw almonds! Yum

Water and almonds are easy to leave the house with.  Before leaving, I enjoy the chocolate Vega One shake!

I'm totally into the cocoa energy bars from Thrive. Raw cacao, dates, flaxseed, almonds, sesame seeds, a banana, put in the processor and made into energy bars. These are powering me through my long runs for the North Face 50 miler in December. Okay, now help me fuel my summer adventures with the Vegan Energizing Smoothies! ;-)

Actually, a Kombucha, banana and a pack of nut butter are my two go-to, can't-leave-the-house-without fave healthy fuels. Then after I'm done with my adventure, I top it off with an amazing Vega smoothie :)

I just can't live without my morning smoothie with Vega's Performance Protein Powder. Even my naturopath recommends it : )

Comment by Barbara Fillion on June 11, 2012 at 2:10pm

My favourite healthy summer adventure fuel is a smoothie made of chocolate Vega Energizing Smoothie, coconut water, Vega chocolate protein, and half a frozen banana with some extra ice cubes. When I go for a long hike, I usually bring the Vega sport bars as well. I don't cook so a smoothie and a bar works very well for me!

Banana, oats, chia, and protein powder with cinnamon.  Every. single. morning.

Comment by Bodhi on June 8, 2012 at 1:45pm

either walnuts and raisins or vega chocolate decadence whole food vibrancy bar

Comment by Renee Newell-Boucher on June 8, 2012 at 10:51am

Vega smoothies are a good go to, but what I always seem to grab and go is dates and walnuts.

Comment by Cheryl on June 8, 2012 at 9:33am

When I'm on the go, I take raw almonds, carrot sticks and Vega protein and WHO powders along with lots of water!

Comment by Andrea Giles on June 8, 2012 at 9:28am

Vega products, dates, fresh fruit (usually apples or bananas), chia seeds and maca powder! Any one or combination of those things depending on how I'm feeling and how much of an extra kick of energy I need!

Comment by Brian Brown on June 8, 2012 at 9:23am
Hi my name is a Brian and all the Vega products are great but I find that some fruit on the go is what I prefer for continuous energy. I will usually bring an apple or a container of cut up fruit.
Comment by Christopher Hyland on June 8, 2012 at 8:17am

Hi My name is Christopher, probably a bit older than most...but currently training for the Scotia Half Marathon here in Vancouver. I have discovered Vega One and its great before my training sessions. I can honestly say its a full meal "Deal" and sets me up for the am.....never felt better!  Cheers!

I always keep a shaker cup with Vega WFHO powder in my car, and a bottle of water for mixing, as well as a bag of trail mix :)
Comment by Christine on June 7, 2012 at 5:53pm

My go-to, can't-leave-the-house-without, favorite healthy fuel to power my summer adventures is of course Vega One and SaviSeeds!!!!! SAviSeeds are always in my car!

Comment by Carrie Kennedy on June 7, 2012 at 4:58pm

I have a snack pack of the savi seeds in my purse always in case I'm stuck somewhere with out a clean vegan snack. My favourite is the cocoa kissed! After a couple of savi seeds I'm ready to go! Every morning I leave the house with a green smoothie...and so do my kids!
