Comment by Judi Setzer on January 7, 2012 at 8:22pm I have signed up for Desert RATS - 6 days, 148 miles, from Grand Junction, CO to Moab, UT. My goal is to finish well with no injury. I am incorporating smart training with a coach, Vega Endurance Bars, and lots of juicing and stretching.
Comment by Kimberley Anne McRae on January 7, 2012 at 9:39am My goal for 2012 is to continue along my path of tying to obtain amazing physical health. I improved substantially during 2011 with a loss of a few inches and a gain in muscle mass. My clothes fit better, my severe menstrual problems are improving and so are my strength and flexibility. I never had an interest in 5ks, 10ks or marathons, but I think I'm going try it out in 2012. I'm running anyway (but I don't really like it) so why not try running with mobs of people on a course early on a Sunday morning sometime this spring, just to see if I can do it.
The only thing that I do look forward to on my runs is using Vega Sport products. For me it makes it seem fun somehow. It makes me feel like a real athlete instead of a sort of runner and sort of hunter/jumper rider. Hey, if that's what it takes to keep me motivated even when I'm sick or tired or it's just a typical day of crappy winter weather in Toronto, then I'll use it! I really like the way all of the products taste and I'm convinced that each and every product does exactly what it's designed to do. I'm convinced that Recovery Accelerator has given me the ability to walk without massive pain on the days after a really strenuous ride. So, that is my goal for 2012. To keep improving in all the areas that have been concentrating on. To run better, ride better and feel better.
Comment by Mary Jane Button-Harrison on January 6, 2012 at 11:39am How about a January 30 day challenge?
Comment by Marc Antoine De Rosa on January 3, 2012 at 1:57pm Thanks Vega for picking me as the winner of this challenge, and for the pre-workout energizers, endurance bars and performance protein! Good luck next time to everyone else!

Comment by Susan Cooper on December 29, 2011 at 12:07pm My goals for the coming year in terms of fitness are exciting! Over the past year I have been working with a trainer to regain my fitness level pre cancer treatment. The journey had been a series of ups and downs reminding me of the Sinatra song where he sings, " I pick myself up, dust myself off and start all over again." I have been ill for the last three months and I have not been to the gym for two of those months; so here I am starting all over again! I love kick boxing with my trainer. At my best I can do a two minute round with a one minute rest in between. My goal is to work myself up to a three minutes round with a thirty second rest. I have learned something about myself through boxing. I love high intensity stuff. Yoga and Zumba are not for me. I ran the 5K in October in the "Run for the Cure" race in forty-three minutes. My goal this year is to run it in under forty minutes! I recently went on a celebration trip (to celebrate the end of chemo) with my family. My son and I did a zip lining course that included 12 zip lines, some trail walking, many sets of stairs and three rope bridges! It took us an hour and a half. Parts of it scared me. It was a good scare because it challenged me to experience that fear and participate anyway. What a way to feel alive. I plan to incorporate this fear into a walk on the outside of the CN tower at the top! I am in the process of recruiting others to take the challenge! 2012 is going to be one exciting year for fitness challenges!
Comment by Danielle Lemay on December 29, 2011 at 7:00am I'm a runner and in 2011 I participated to 2 duathlons. In 2012, I'll do the same, plus some running events. But my main goal of 2012 is training for my first 70.3 in Mont-Tremblant on June 24th.
I found a personal coach for the triathlon part and my son who is a kinesiologist, is taking care of the fitness part. With all these ingredients I am determined to finish it. I know it will be hard, since I have a loving husband of 41 years, a great familly and a full time job. Even Santa is on my side and brought me a fantastic bike.
I will be 56 in 2012 and I'm scared to death with this event... but I know I will finish it! I'm focused and all my spare time will be spent training.
This is what 2012 will be made of for me.
Comment by Adam Chaim on December 28, 2011 at 4:39pm Over the past couple years I've taken up running. Completed 2 marathons & 3 half marathons and continue to run regularly. I've decided my ultimate goal is to complete an Ironman. Considering I have a beautiful wife, 2 kids and a full time job, I'm not sure how it's going to happen, but I know that it will. I've decided that my next step is to pursue biking, so I've signed up for The Ride To Conquer Cancer in June 2012 (which is a 200+km bike ride over 2 days). I purchased a bike and the necessary equipment and the training has begun. I will continue to run, strength train and now bike in 2012. Once the ride is over I'll add in the swimming. To find time for all the training...that'll be a challenge in it's self! On top of all that, I'm in the process of becoming Vegan and dragging my whole family along with me...another challenge! Wait until they find out I want to go Raw!!!!!

Comment by Susan Svensson on December 27, 2011 at 9:40pm My fitness goal is to conquer a 25K skate ski race I figure maybe 2hrs? Trying to go raw with a smoothie for breakfast salad for dinner or lunch and a very veggie stir fry dinner. Trying to keep a neck an knee injury from inflammation without the Aleve Naproxen drugs! Drug free!
Comment by Shawna Dyck on December 27, 2011 at 4:58pm My fitness goal for 2012 is to remail eating healthy, working out, and pass all that onto my friends. I have turned quite a few friends onto Vega already and they are loving it. I could definitley be the Vega spokesperson! I reave about it all the time and let people know how wonderful I feel! I will continue to show my results and pass on your goodies!
Comment by Stephanie Smith on December 27, 2011 at 11:31am My fitness goal is to redefine getting healthy. In the past I have considered myself healthy when I'm comfortable wearing a tank top and unhealthy when I feel fat in one. I want to look at health as a systemic change. I still want to look good in a tank top; but I also want to feel in control of my cravings, energetic when I wake up, able to run and hike without hip pain and confident in my strength when I rock climb. I want health to be something I feel rather than something I look like. I am going vegan and gluten free for the month of January and plan to continue with Thrive throughout the year if and when I find that it enables true health in my life!
Comment by Tara R on December 27, 2011 at 11:11am My goals for 2012..well...I am FAR from healthy, I feel nauseaus daily, have a headache once or twice a day, my hip feels like it should be replaced and my knee feels worse then my grandmas...oh and im probably about 80 lbs over weight. SO! my goals for 2012 is to not only change my lifestyle, but become healthy inside and out. :) Not only for myself but for my family. I dont want to have my 7 year old help me off the ground. Anywho, those are my goals.....I would say pretty realistic, especially with Vega's help. THANKS!!!
Comment by Lynn Prebble on December 27, 2011 at 8:27am My goals for 2012 include finishing the state highpoints (4 left), complete a century bike ride, complete a triathalon -or half-tri, (this is from someone who just gave up lists in 2011!!)
Comment by Jim Glasser on December 22, 2011 at 2:55pm My fitness goals for 2012 are as follows: do cross training type workouts consistently for the entire year. First do P90X, then Insanity, then P90X again, and then join a cross fit club and give it a whirl. Get myself fit enough to do P90X2 in January of 2013. Get my weight down under 180 and discover my ideal weight based on a body fat ratio under 10% (I’m thinking about 175… I am now 185). Become at least an advanced intermediate telemark skier, which should also help advance my alpine skiing to a solid all mountain, all terrain, and all conditions expert skier. In the spring, summer & fall, bike at least once a week. Do two Century rides over the summer (either an organized ride or on my own). Summit at least six fourteeners including a one day ascent/descent of Longs Peak (std. keyhole route). Summit at least two fourteeners with my kids. Evolve and grow as a new Vegan and learn how to better feed myself and my children exclusively with plant based whole foods, experimenting with Thrive recipes. Do yoga outside of P90X and get massages. Take a significant step towards becoming one of the really/really fit 50 year old guys (this is for my wellbeing and to set a good example for my kids). Find a compatible hiking and biking buddy.
Comment by rosemarie robertson on December 21, 2011 at 1:16pm For 2012, I would like to show improvement in all 4 sections, beam, bars, floor and vault of gymnastics. At 57, I’ve done only a couple of competitions so I still need to get over nervousness in front of a crowd/judges. i have had more energy since incorporating some of the vega products into my diet. (i've been giving out packets of the smoothies to my friends). For the new year, I plan on trying out some of the recipes. the one for the tropical salad dressing was good. Maybe the products can help with flexibility?!!
Comment by Jessie Nieves on December 16, 2011 at 9:13am My goals for 2012 are to complete the Tough Mudder (with aims to qualify for the Toughest Mudder!), to run my first marathon (have only done the half to this point,) and to win all of my Muay Thai events! I have been training like mad, and I've pushed myself far beyond what I thought my limitations were - both mentally and physically. I have been following Brendan's Thrive Diet exclusively these past few months, and I have seen massive improvements in my overall performance and health. The Vega Sport line has been a LIFESAVER - not sure what I would do without it!
Comment by Amy Parker Kessel on December 14, 2011 at 8:08pm I am training for my first half marathon. I started running this past summer and I am hooked! Then I found Vega WFHO...LOVE! Now I have my husband hooked as well. I have been meaning to try the Sport so here is my opportunity!

Comment by Kim Mellon on December 14, 2011 at 11:01am It appears I posted in the incorrect place! oops My goals for the year 2012 are to compete in my first Marathon and Ironman!! I'm registered and ready to go. I read Brandons book Thrive and it has been life changing. I was a vegetarian before and was not getting the nutrients needed for an athlete. I never thought about the PH level in our bodies. I never eat processed foods anymore and have changed all my supplements to Vega and eating new meals that are in the book. I'm on a new training schedule and looking forward to competing in my first Ironman, bonus for me is it's with my son!!!
