My goal is to go through the whole 13 weeks of P90X and then run a 5K (I am not a runner). I started with the WFHO and it gave me more energy and can't wait to get started training and working out.

My goal is simple, to lose weight and become more fit overall :)  I will achieve this with healthier eating of more whole foods, losing most of the the processed carbs, lean healthy meats, WFHO, moderate exercise and will power!

Having spent the last several years as a physique competitor, my 2012 goal is to accept a new conditioning challenge.  I have started using the full sport line, and have found it exceptional!  I have energy and recovery I never knew possible, and for the first time, I actually feel like running.  My body has been respondind well to training, and this will be the year to go the distance - literally!

My 2012 goal is all about mental training. I'm going to begin to eat only plant-based, nutrient dense foods and get rid of the mindset of eating based on convenience and impulse. I discovered Thrive Foods and am beginning to incorporate the recipes into my diet. I WILL make the change of conscious food choices and an active lifestyle not only for the coming year, but for life.

My goal for 2012 is simple, be better by the end then when it begins. Busy family life plus busy work schedule equals a loss of health as a priority. 2012 is the year of the comeback for me, back to racing tri's, back to lean living, back to health. I know I can count on the Vega community for support and I am here for you. 2012 is not the end of the world, its a new beginning, a better understanding.

Went to doctor last week; BP is 150/110, 40 pounds over weight, and I do not feel well physically, mentally and, therefore, emotionally.  I was in great shape last Fall, then I had a business relationship go bad, oldest son got sick, and I let myself go physically and mentally by eating what I wanted, staying up too late, waking up too late, not working out, not keeping up with my reading, ignoring myself (and, therefore, my family) emotionally, and watching too much TV.  In 2012, my goals are to transform myself physically, emotionally, and physiologically into a healthy person inside and out.  I will run the Lake Geneva Sprint Triathlon in September 8th, 2012.  I will work out at least 5 days per week using the Thrive Fitness Principles intermingled with my Tri workouts.  I will achieve my nutritional goals by: living the Thrive Nutritional Principles.  My goal weight is: 185 lbs; my goal blood pressure is: 114/66 (what it was last Fall).  I will solve my emotional issues by seeing a counselor.  I will share my goals with my family and friends and review them daily.  Well, I just told a whole bunch of people my goals.  HERE WE GO!

I am reaching high for my training goals in 2012. My goal is to compete in my first amateur MMA fight and show everyone in my town that vegetarians are a force to be reckoned with!!

My goal for 2012 is to run 2,160km in the year. This is 45km per week. This year I have been running about 30km per week, I'm ready to step things up. I also want to complete my first marathon this summer. Vega whole food optimizer has been helping me to reach my goals so far. I am excited to try the Vega Sport line, maybe it will "up the ante".

My goal for 2012 is to be able to do 5 chin ups by February! I can do 2 &1/2 now, and training every other day to get to 5! I change it up every time I do chin ups, sometimes I do negatives, sometimes I use the Gravitron chin up machine, I change up the grips, etc... I'm confidence that I'll reach this goal!

My goal is to actually back off a bit in training.. I've been doing too many gym classes combined with training for a half marathon that I just completed the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Now I want to give my body a break.. do a yoga class a week, take a 45 minute walk instead of a 45 run one day a week.

I am planning to complete the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim trail run in September, which will be my 55th birthday. This will be my first ultra type run.  Not only will I need to extend my training beyond marathon distances but will need to incorporate the substantial elevation changes associated with this great big ditch.

My training goal is to be able to do 25 push ups by March :) Currently I can do 15. I'm going to do this by adding it to my workouts 3 days/week.

I also need to stretch more, and conciously try to work on flexibility! Taking the time to focus on my body, not what I need to do next, eat for dinner etc.

My goal is to become a stronger roller derby athlete and make the Team Canada roster. I plan to do this by continuing strength and endurance training, incorporating more stretching, and skating more.

Comment by Richard Bird on December 6, 2011 at 5:11pm

I have a plan for 2012, starting with the Around-the-Bay 30k Race in Hamilton in March.

I have really enjoyed trail running this year so I plan to run each of the Ontario Trail Series races, starting in April at Seaton Hills and finishing in October at the Vulture Bait trail race in London. 8 trail races in all varying in distances from 25k - 32k.

My goal is to run my first marathon next year. So I will start with a 5K, then 10K, then run a half mile. I'm also focused on strength training. My goal is holistic health and healing of my body and mind.

Comment by Michelle Mcburney on December 6, 2011 at 12:12am

I am running marathon 4 in April and marathon 5 in July. My big goal is to able to complete 3 chin-ups. I am still sorting out how to efficiently fuel my body for endurance... and will continue to work on refining this and improving my times.

complete my 1st running 5k and walking 1/2 marathon and to help more friends and family to give up meat and really allow themselves to enjoy whole foods.

As I go into my 61st year, my effort is to remain fit to stave off any illness or injury. Recently began incorporating the Thrive in 30 principles to bring an uptick to my fitness and health. As my grand children grow up, I want to be involved with their active lifestyle and I do not wish to be a rocking chair grandpa. Onward and up to 100!

I am so excited!  My husband and I are gearing up to do our first Warrior Dash next summer!  Both of us have a lot of work to do to get in shape for it, but we're getting into a regular routine, and we'll start doing our training in January.  Can not WAIT!  It's going to be a blast!  Now onto the nutrition peice.  I'm very excited to find this community for tips and support.  Lookging forward to learning more about Vega and getting started!  Good luck everyone with your goals!
