Hi everyone ... I am new to the community and wanting to learn all I can to improve my overall health. Also my husband has MS and we are always looking for ways to help him and his overall health. Drop me a line, I'd like to make some friends. Have a nice evening. Thanx

Hi, new to the community and the group am trying to lose 12kgs. I think this is about 26 pounds. I have lost 7kg to date and have stalled. I need to check my nutrient intake I think. I'm on 1400 carlories a day and feel any less would be too little. I need to eat smarter get more nutrients from my food. I am looking at adding quinoa and other high protein foods like passionfruit that have few calories to my meals. I hear you Shannon I am usually a gymphobic. I am managing this time to go at least 3 times a week which is a miracle. The right music on my iphone, the right exercise (stuff I like) and visulisation of how good I feel afterwards is really helping. I need all the motivation I can get as it is winter, wet, windy, cold and dark early in Sydney Australia at the moment.

I hear ya Jazz. I've had a membership to the gym *across the street* from my house and haven't been since... November. Can ya motivate me too?

Water! Drink enough water! It's my biggest and most valued tip. If you can drink 2 litres of water a day (3.5-4 bottles of 500ml water to give you an idea), the weight comes off ... like, well, water. lol

Really. It's that easy. Make sure you are eating enough protein and drink enough water. I've lost nearly 45 lbs now in about 6 mos.

I haven't been here for long time, frustrated with weight gain and restarting. Never thought I would be saying what I keep hearing but eating healthy is expensive, not sure how this is gonna go! Whenever I cut back calories and exercise I get so damn hungry and weak, I wake up from sleeping hungry and have to eat to get back to sleep!

Raechel - I started eating Larabars again for sweet cravings, chocolate ones are great if you like chocolate or don't have issues with it. Still not super low on calories but least not outright junk like a candy bar.

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew of any websites where you can log daily food journals that other folks have access to. I used to track my food on Sparkpeople.com, but no one sees that but me, so there's no accountability. Anyone have any suggestions?

I eat healthy 98% of the time, but then binge on sweets almost every night, which thwarts all my great effort. Anyone have any luck with using vega products to curb an after-dinner sweet tooth?
