I had a recipe for a morning shake that I have been implementing into my food plan and decided to not add the water and well, here is what happened:

1 scoop of Vega Protein Powder (Optimizer) Vanilla Chai

1 medium banana

1 tbsp. hemp seeds

1/4 cup of sprouted and dehydrated buckwheat groats

1 tbsp. maca powder

1 tbsp. raw cocoa powder

1 tbsp. bee pollen

1 tbsp. agave nectar (optional) or you can use Stevia

2 tbsp. flax meal

Mash it all up into a paste, if is seems to mushy I just add more flax meal.

Spread onto a dehydrator sheet into a 1/4 inch thick square and then score into three panels then score across the three panels to make 6 squares.

Dehydrate for up to 8 hours at 118 degrees.

Yummo protein bars and also great for pre and post workout snacks not mention an evening snack with vanilla almond milk.

Let me know if you try it.

This sounds really great. I have been planning on getting a dehydrator, when I do I;ll try it!
I just recently aquired my dehydrator and now energy/protein bars are a staple...gonna try this recipe...i'm a big fan of Brendans' chocolate blueberry recipe in Thrive...just as you said, with a glass of almond or hemp milk! I'm eating this as i write :)
Do I have to dehydrate sprouts first before adding them?
it is a preference, I do it because it adds a crunch, almost like a rice crispie.
