Have you tried Vega Sport?  Check it out on myvega.com.  Natural Plant based performance optimizer.  Tastes great!

Nothing is cleaner or simpler than coconut water.  Even Costco carries it in the drink boxes.  So many of the "sport drinks" contain so much that is artificial.  Even the vitamins/minerals they claim to have can be synthetic - and not even recognizable by the body.  Before you go out, have a few dates and some raw coconut chunks.  Keep some stashed for during your events if it's going to be a long day.  I also throw a few of the coconut waters in the freezer for a few hours first, so they're really cold.  The closer you get to "as nature intended", the more efficiently and effectively it will be utilized by your body. PS:  I also live in FL, and train/work/play hard...

Suzette, do you use Vita Coco?
Comment by Suzette Henderson on March 21, 2011 at 12:46pm
I do use Vita Coco, and also O.N.E.  If I have the time, I'll crack some young Thai coconuts open myself, combine the water with some of the meat in my vitamix, maybe add in some raw spirulina...  I got some plastic jelly jars (8 oz. each).  They have screw on lids, and I just make them, and stick them in the freezer

I've gone raw in the past and I am trying to go as raw and natural as possable. Green smothies are a favorite of mine. I have trouble maintaing weight. Also I live in the North East and spend a lot of time outside. Winter is always hard. Just joined so I'm reaching out for general comments. Realy like to be in a group of like minded poeple with health and fitness as their goal.

Hi Robert,

There are some really cool things going on here in Ontario. There is an awesome community just outside of London that teaches how to go raw (or high raw) in the colder climates. It's called The Living Centre. You may find some of their resources helpful to you.

Otherwise you can ask all the questions you want on here and I will do my best to answer them.

God bless xoxo

Sarah

EATING RAW IS THE BEST!

Even in our current environment and what has been allowed to happen to our soils still inhibits nutrients from getting into our raw foods. 1 peach today is not the same as it was in the 50's. Why do you think that the food pyramid was 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies to the now 9-13? That is a lot of money to spend and calories. Evidence based, REAL FOOD supplements must be a part of our diet.

I have some great things I am doing if anyone is interested.

Hi everyone. I am writing a paper on a discourse community that I am apart of and I chose VEGA. I was wondering if you would be willing to comment on my post defining what success means to you in terms of being apart of the VEGA community? How do members of the VEGA community view success?
