Hey! Has anybody tried an 80/10/10 raw diet while training and if so do you have any tips for pre/post-workout nutrition? And any wisdom or advice from experience would be most welcome!
The 80/10/10 diet as far as I know, is an approach to maximum health that focuses on eating only fresh raw fruits and vegetables with very small amount of overt fats found in seeds and avocadoes. The primary source of fuel comes from carbohydrates found in fruit that makes up about 80% of your calories, 10% proteins (mostly from greens I think), and 10% fat. I've just been reading the book 80/10/10 by Doug Graham and I would highly recommend it! I'm keen to get started on eating and training this way and I was curious if anyone has/is leading this lifestyle. Cheers!
I am thinking it really depends on your sport relative to ratios and your motive behind it. If its about weight loss and not lifestyle, sounds more like eating disorder tendancies but if your training for a marathon, well you get the picture.
