Hello! I am doing Insanity and was wondering if I could join your group, or do I need to start my own group for Insanity. Thanks!

Comment by Leslie on February 2, 2011 at 8:03am I am also excited to see this group. I just started my 6th round of P90X. I have been doing it for over 2 years. I went vegetarian for fun in March of 2010 and mostly vegan in July 2010 after reading the China Study. I read the Thrive Diet a couple of months into it and thought I might need some more protein, so started on the Vega WFHO and it gives me the boost I needed. I will be checking in with the Doc next week and I am excited to do some bloodwork to see how it is affecting my health.
I love P90X and the results it gives me. I look forward to see what Oliver has to say about P90X+. I have done that program a couple of times too.

Comment by Leslie on February 2, 2011 at 10:02am Hey Seth, I found P90X+ to be more of a maintanance program for me. It is a great break and I only do it for about 6 weeks. It definitely gives a different strength (new muscles) to the core. I mixed in Insanity for the cardio on occasion this last time.
Keep enjoying the X.
Comment by Kristin on February 5, 2011 at 9:26pm Breakfast: Green Smoothie, a typical one incl: ½ serving Vega sport or WFHO, pineapple, celery, cuq, tons of leafy greens, ginger, cilantro, hemp seeds, flax seed oil, chia seeds, coconut oil, raw honey, chilled herbal tea as the liquid, and a few superfoods—vitamineral greens, maca, mesquite, lucuma & dulse. Lunch: coconut yogurt (made from young coconuts), raw granola and fruit. Dinner: hummus, guac, salsa, +/or nut/seed pate with veggies, crackers OR chili OR some other typical veg dinner. Second dinner: a huge green salad with ½ avo, sprouts, veggies & fresh lemon juice. Although I don’t obsess too much about how much protein I get, I have been trying to add more in since starting P90X again. I probably get 45-60g/day. I tend to eat a high fat diet as it seems to agree with me, and well, I love avos, coconuts, nuts & seeds. I don’t count calories, but I would have to guess 2000/day, being that eat so much (healthy) fat and I have a treat or 2 every day. J. I eat min 60% raw. … I always have the sport performance optimizer before each workout—I love that stuff!!

Comment by Rob B on February 6, 2011 at 9:06am Hello Everyone,
I have a question about my heart rate monitor.
From what I have read I should be in the 50-80% range of maximum heart rate. Does that sound right?
Also I would like to Thank Vegan Diaries for starting this group!
