share. learn. thrive!

I am curious about why the new formula VEGA ONE has decreased the protein, the vitamin amounts as well as overall calories in each serving by half.  You now need to take two scoops of the new VEGA ONE in order to get the same amount of proteins, vitamins and minerals and calories. They have added 5 percent salt which is fine but salt is everywhere already.

The amount of servings has gone from 15 to 20 yet after doing the above math it appears there are actually fewer servings? The total grams in the container has dropped from 1064 to 867.

And the kick ass sticker on the top explaining how GREEN Vega is, is gone. THat sticker sold product and attached emotion and logic to Vega for the not so nutritionally inclined.

I recognize things change but I am a little confused about "fixing something that ain't broke", so to speak. ANybody else wondering whats up. Dont get me wrong I have seen Brendan speak numerous times and love what he stands for and where he comes from, plus he's a proud Canadian role model of which CANADA NEEDS MORE OF! Just wondering what the benefits are to the consumer with the new integrated Vega one.

ANYONE??????

I feel the same way! I just started using vega one and i am quite enjoying it..

until i came on this site and read the disappointing news of what I was missing out on!

I hope they'll listen!!

I wonder if the sticker was taken off because The footprint of the new VEGA ONE is larger?

Hi Shawn Michael - Check out some of the other posts under discussions. You will see a lot of us feel the same way!

I heartily agree and would go so far to say that the advertising on the new Vega One is actually a lie... it states that there used to be 13 g of protein per serving when there were actually 26.  I am sorely disappointed in the new product and manufacturers and even Brendan Brazier for using blatently false advertising and trying to pull the wool over consumers eyes to the product actually becoming less than it used to be.  I posted a comment on the Vega Facebook page and it has mysteriously disappeared...I suppose they only want people to say how wonderful it is and not the truth for feedback to make their company better...I only hope people stop buying this new product so they will bring the old formulation back. It was not 'broke' as you say and I know I was one of many who loved it.

You are among a lot of like-minded individuals, I assure you!

My sentiments exactly!

As for me, I am just not buying any more VEGA. For me the trust that I had in the product and company has been eroded. I regret this because the WFHO was like an old trusted friend that I could enjoy each morning. He was interested in my health and well being and brought out the best in me. Now he is only half interested and half there but comes at the same old price. I am searching for a new friend.

I actually prefer the one scoop serving size and here is why. When I first began using vega, I did what I read - use two scoops to make one serving. For a woman, this is a lot of calories to take in during one sitting. Seems like no brainer to split them: just use one scoop and take in 1/2 the serving in the morning and the other half later in the day. I can't speak to why the change was made but this is how America operates when it comes to serving size  - justification to consume the entire portion.

The grams are lower. The difference is nearly 197 grams = 788 calories, which over 30 days (if you consume one container a month) is equivalent to 26 calories (6.6g) In reality, the difference is small, it is almost insignificant when based on a 1400 - 2400 daily caloric diet.

I think your question is a good one and hope you find the answers you are seeking.
