HI

Just wondering how people are using Vega Shake & Go? I typically have a serving of it before heading out for my training rides on my bike. I usually mix the Choc-A-Lot flavor with some almond milk and give it a good shake in one of my Magic Bullet shaker cups. I also eat a banana as well - my go-to food.

Anyway, I'm just wondering how and when you use this Vega product? Curious to learn how others are incorporating Vega products into their diets?

Oh, I have also used the Vega Shake & Go as a replacement for almond milk - last weekend I was at my parent's place and there wasn't any almond milk for my fruit so I mixed up the Choc-A-Lot with some water - made it nice and thick and poured it over a chopped apple and banana. I've also done the same and poured it over frozen raspberries - a very tasty breakfast or pre-ride meal.

cheers,

vicki

The Shake & Go Smoothie is used in many different ways. I know many people that drink it with water before they exercise and some add it to baking and drinks for added nutrition. I like to blend the Tropical Tango flavor with frozen fruit and water for a mid-afternoon snack :)

Hello Vicki,

It sounds like you are on a good start with your Vega products! I use the Shake & Go in the mornings if I don't have a lot of time to blend my WHFO. After I work out I LOVE our protein powder shaken with water as this really helps my muscles relax!! Try the Vanilla Chai WHFO with some vanilla almond milk..you will love it!

Thanks for all of the great feedback. I've started using the Choc-A-Lot in the mornings for breakfast (served over sliced apple) when I have a light training day or rest day. I've tried the WHFO but it is a bit too "green" for me. Though perhaps if I mix it with almond milk this will help.

I haven't tried the protein powder - I think the nutritionals in the Shake & Go are perfect for me - as I don't think I need to include a pure protein powder in my diet. Any thoughts on why a protein powder supplement might be required?

I am curious about getting enough B12 - I know it is in WHFO but how else do you get this vitamin (due to my ulcerative colitis, I'm not able to take over the counter supplements).
