share. learn. thrive!

Hey guys I started using Vega Pre-performance a year ago on days I needed the extra push in my training.  I am a muay thai fighter and train 2 sessions a day (1 to 1 an half hours each session).  My question to you guys is, do any of you feel like your body gets used to this product pretty quickly and it needs more to get the same result?  I know that will happen with caffeine but I only take this product 2x a week (it's my only caffeine I consume in the week) and wanted to see if anyone else who takes this product feels a slight decline in effectiveness (I know my own personal fatigue could be an issue) after sometime.

I found after the first week of using the performance optimizer I really didn’t like the amount of caffeine per serving for my comfort level. So after a bit of experimentation here is what I have done this past month for pre-workout beverage.

500ml water + 1 scoop of Vega sport protein + 5g Vega performance optimizer,......45 minutes prior to workout.

I find this to be the best combination pre-workout and I haven’t had any issues with digestion after the workout as I eat a solid food meal post- workout.
I assume the combination of protein and triglycerides from the optimizer are what have made it effective for me. That being said I have to point out my workouts don’t last any longer that 50 minutes. My routine is a combination of power lifting and traditional bodybuilding with minimal cardio so I’m not sure if this is any help to you.
Good luck and all the best.

I use the Vega Sport Performance Optimizer before my runs and I believe it has contributed to my muscle endurance (to a certain degree) but I still feel fatigue during some points in the run. Could still be a conditioning thing or left over toxins or who knows what.

The only caffeine ingredient I can detect in the product is green tea. There is no guarana, or ephadrene like ingredients listed. This product is much safer than your run of the mill energy drinks out there. I've tried stuff like red bull and hype and you feel an instant rush, but then you crash after 15-20 minutes. With the Vega Sport, i haven't felt an unnatural high or rush. My ticker isn't beating 100 miles a minute during or after I finish running, which is super good in my opinion!

The one thing I did notice is, after drinking my serving, phlegm instantly starts to build up in my mouth. I know that any kind of wheat product can cause such a reaction, so i'm kind of confused as to why. I mix it in 250 to 300ml as recommended. Maybe I need to up the water to better assimilate the mixture into my body.

I find that it is often hard to feel/sense or recognize instant reactions or improvements in supplements. Often times it can be confused with a placebo effect as you kinda psych yourself up before hand anticipating something big or wild to happen. This is not to say that it isn't working. Best example I can come up with is when having used creatine. It is still the talk of the town in the world of supplements and it does work, but it takes a few trials before results show. I remember doing one cycle with one brand and the response was promising and later on I tried another brand and got zip. Bottom line, you really have to pay close attention to your body and what it's telling you.

Best way I can think of to find out is keep a journal.

Ok enough...i'm just rambling on like I got my own show or something...LOL! :P
