share. learn. thrive!
now a serving has less protein, less maca, less chlorella, and only 50% of vitamins and minerals- i'm disappointed as i mainly use this as a reconstruction meal after my recovery drink for intense work outs- even if i dbl a serving it still has less maca and less chlorella and i assume it will be the same price so if you dbl you will be getting 5 less servings a tub- i hope its 1/3 cheaper otherwise i'll be trying to buy up all the old ones
anyone else feel that we will be paying the same price for less?

I've tried it before and it has a very earthy taste. It has some chlorella in it but you would probably have to add chloressence, maca powder and acai powder to it.
It looks like it has 100% of the D.V. of vitamins & minerals that you would need.
Permalink Reply by Fearless Quan on February 9, 2012 at 1:41pm Wow, that is really really bad news for me. I can't foresee staying with the brand with no WFHO. I'm not seeing the upside for Vega One.
Permalink Reply by Fearless Quan on February 9, 2012 at 2:22pm My previous edit failed to save....anyway, so after comparing the specs of berry WFHO and One I just can't see any reason to buy that product. It's less less less. What is the advantage over WFHO? Can't be cost, the new large tub of berry is 850g, down from 1029g. You'd need more servings for equal benefit too. I can't see any reason why a WHFO consumer would remain a customer to VEGA with this product offering. I'd love an explanation, hopefully a truthful one, and without the consumer steering marketing buzz.
Permalink Reply by WFHO on February 10, 2012 at 10:40am Man, I wish this was a bad joke. I just started drinking WFHO every day for lunch. I liked it so much, I bought the largest containers of all three flavors. I just came on here to get recipes! Now, I am so completely bummed.
This stuff has been making me feel great. The total gouging of protein and vitamins is such a deal-breaker for me.
I read a LOT of reviews before trying WFHO. The biggest complaint was the price, so.... they essentially half it and keep the same big price. What were they thinking??? Why did they not just introduce this new product as... a new product. Why would they throw out something that so many loved?
Somebody should start a petition. :P
"Give us back our WFHO!"
I, too, will now be looking elsewhere. Generous thing you guys did, there, for your competitors.
(Thanks Jeb. Now that looks like a viable replacement.)

pretty close to wfho
at about 30 $ for 14 servings(if you dbl) i can afford to supplement some things it is lacking (maca, chlorella, omega 3's and 6's)
Permalink Reply by nancy oka on February 10, 2012 at 11:34am they took a good product and cheapened it, slapped a shiny sticker on it and are marketing it as new and improved.
where do the ethics of that company stand?
Permalink Reply by blackout on February 11, 2012 at 5:05am My husband and I are SO dissapointed. We both drank the WFHO daily and absolutely loved the product. The new Vega One will not meet our needs, and we feel ripped off. We had such love for the brand and didn't mind spending the money because we felt it was a superb product.
Like many others we are stockpiling the WFHO and when it runs out we will start experimenting with alternatives. I agree that the timing of this change is going to be bad news for Vega and Sequel - I had noticed about a month ago that there are more and more products available on the market that are less expensive. I don't really give a rat's patootie if I have to mix my own concoction, I will.
Vega can kiss my monthly $250 contribution goodbye.
Permalink Reply by JS on February 11, 2012 at 10:35am Just bought the last chocolate WHFO at my local store... so sad. I only supplement my diet with 1 scoop of the WFHO once in awhile... however I will not be returning to the brand unless Vega One becomes much cheaper...
Permalink Reply by Fearless Quan on February 13, 2012 at 1:41pm Hello Sequel are you out there? Can you reply and address the issues your customers have brought up?

lots of discussion here as well.
Permalink Reply by sluze on February 13, 2012 at 3:16pm the only way anything is going to change for the better is if more and more people tell them. I was shocked when i came to the site and saw the changes. what's really telling is that this forum has becoming a research center for alternative products.
Permalink Reply by Fearless Quan on February 13, 2012 at 3:46pm VEGA. LISTEN. TO. YOUR. CUSTOMERS. We're here. This is your feedback. We're clearly smarter and much less easily brainwashed than you think we are. Vega One is not superior. What you've effectively done is taken what was clearly the best product in the category and reduced it to the level of 90% of the other nutritional mixes out there. In doing so you've given the consumer a tremendously broader selection of comparable products to chose from, and at a better price point. You would have been better received raising the MSRP of WFHO 10% to meet you profit goals. What you've done with Vega One is a sham and a shame. Brendan, you must be so proud.
