share. learn. thrive!

My 1 year old daughter loves having tastes of my Vega shakes. Is it ok for her to have? How much is a good amount for her?

She is still mostly breastfed because she refuses most solids. The only foods she will eat regularly are bread, bananas, and cheese; and only a very small amont fo those. She has been hovering around 20lb since she was 7 months old and I am still losing weight, currently I am about 10lb below my ideal weight. So I have been taking Vega to get some extra calories between meals, and I think it could be good for my daughter as well.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I have given my "picky eating" baby Vega Whole Food Optomizer since she was about 15 months old. She loves it and as soon as she hears the blender she starts screaming with anticipation! She is 18 months old now, is still a picky eater, so I feel good knowing she has had a nutritious meal in the Vega!
Keep up with your food energy, as it sounds like you need more than you are taking in.
All the best,
Gloria
We just happened to do a post about this very topic last year: http://www.vegacommunity.com/profiles/blogs/you-asked-can-kids-have...!
It's all whole foods--my little brother drinks and loves it! Hemp, vanilla, vitamins, minerals--can't see anything kids can't have :).
