Does anyone know about the Thermomix. It is the lastest machine that does everything.......it works as a blender, food processor, grinder it also heats to the desired temperature......this way you can heat only to body temperature if desired. We can know buy them in Australia but I believe they are Euopean. Does anyone have experience with the Thermomix? They are not cheap but works out cheaper than buying top quality blender, food processor and coffee grinder.

Hi there,

My aunt has one (she lives in Canada) and totally swears by it. She said that she would never look back. She used to have a Ktec machine which she described as the little brother to the Blendtec but told me that this machine seemed to go too fast and cooked the food (even the food you didn't want to cook). She got rid of it and bought a thermomix. Here in Canada the Thermomix is a lot more expensive than the Blendtec and Vitamix but I know that those machines in Australia are about double the price. Can you tell me how much the Thermomix sells for? Also if you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to ask my aunt for details.
The newspaper article I found said $1600 I think!
Hi,

Do you know if your aunt makes raw food recipes, eg nut milk etc and does it make it smooth like the vita mix?

In Australia the Thermomix costs $1900 Aus dollars. Very expensive but the Vita Mix is $1300 Aus and a good food processor is $800 so I figure I may as well save and buy the thermomix which does it all.

Yes my aunt makes nut milks and is delighted with her thermomix but she never had the Vitamix so I guess she compares it with the Ktec which she found to be too high powered and destroyed the food by cooking it.
Personnally I've never tried it.
Please let us know if you buy it and how it performs.
