Wanting to start sprouting. Have jars, cheesecloth.
But here's my question-
Do I just use dry beans? I have dried adzuki and garbanzos... are those what I use?

I like using alfalfa, mung, and broccoli sprouts. I wrote two posts on sprouts/sprouting on my blog that will help.

Sprouts Are Super-Bad-Ass

This Is How I Sprout

Thanks for the info Kristen! Your blog has lots of good stuff on it!
Kristen here is my million dollar question to you, where do you purchase the seeds to these alfalfa, mung and broccoli sprouts? cause i cant seem to find them at my local grocery store although they do sell the sprouts but i want to do the sprouting myself :(

You should find them at the local health food store, co-op, or where they would sell in bulk. Or you could order them! Last night I made a salad using mung sprouts, some olive oil, and sea salt, oh and a little cumin! It was delicious!
I found a good site for organic seeds and sprouter equipment:
http://www.sproutpeople.com/seed/kits.html
Thought this might help Joseph Z....
When I eventually get some growing, I'll let you know how it goes....
Thanks Rebecca and martie both posts were very helpful. I eat so much sprouts if I grew them myself instead of buying them I would save a fair amount of money and now thats what i'm going to do.
Thank you!!!

I usually order them online at www.SunOrganic.com although many Whole Foods Markets carry them. www.SproutPeople.com also carries them.
