I have had good success with sprouting beans following the instructions in Thrive Nutrition, however, my quinoa and sunflower seeds smell rancid!! I used the quinoa anyway thinking the recipe would mask the taste but it still had the sickly sweet taste/smell of fermentation. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing something wrong with sprouting? Is that taste/smell normal from sprouted grains and seeds? The beans smell and taste different too, but not like they are rancid, they just taste a little bitter like sprouts.

Quinoa only takes hours to sprout, not overnight. So as soon as the tails come out, take them out and store them airtight.
