I am wondering about the comparison between Sport Performance Protein and the Protein Bar.  SPP has more protein, seems to have more recovery ingredients, has fewer calories.  Are there advantages (other than convenience) to the Protein Bar? Thanks!

The advantages will come depending on when you would be taking each product but overall the powder is the better recovery product. Post workout (PWO) the powder would be better - you mix it with water (or other liquids) which speeds absorption. There is .5g of fat and 6g of carbs which will allow your body to focus primarily on getting nutrients to muscles rather than breaking down and absorbing a lot of food in your stomach like the protein bar. The protein bar has 7g of fat and 30g of carbs (19 sugar which is good PWO) and 15 grams of protein. Speaking mostly from experience and a bit of knowledge, I would take the Protein PWO mixed with simple carbs like fruit or other fast acting carbs. The protein bar is best saved for a snack. If you do want to take the bar PWO it's best to be taken with A LOT of water.

This is very helpful, thank you!
