Help! I have tried my popcorn air popper and popping on the stove and I can get my amaranth to pop! I would prefer using an air popper, but mine is definitely not suited for such tiny pseudograins--any suggestions on a specific brand or method? Thanks!

I had problems the first few times I tried to pop amaranth. I do not have a popcorn poper. I did some research (it might have been on the vega site) and found that using smaller quantities worked much better. I hold a pot over top to prevent the amaranth from flying all over. I then make a larger portion at once and store it. So I don't have to go through making it every day.

I don't know if that answers your question or not.
If the seeds are dry, try soaking them, Brendan mentioned this somewhere on these forums. Soaking them over night then using a pan with a glass cover you can pop them without burning them. I found once a very good video on popping amaranth on the stove but I cannot seem to find it. Hope this helps.
thanks! this all really helps!
