I'm training for my first Ironman (woohoo!) and recently stumbled upon Brendan's book and products. This weekend I was scheduled to do a 5 hour training so I whipped up a batch of the Performance Banana Pancakes to have before my workout. I was really pleased with the energy and stamina it provided me but...it tasted like dirt, literally : ( Any suggestions on how to make it more appealing to the palette?

Good luck with your training!

The dirt taste is most likely the buckwheat. I would suggest swapping the buckwheat flour for a lighter non-gluten flour like rice. You could also try the recipe without the buckwheat groats and see if this changes things. Hope this helps!
