This is my 1st post here, so hello to everyone. :D
I've been a vegan for 5 years, but never really ate with any discipline. Time to change that! I just read Thrive (the book), and have compiled a shopping list based on the first three days of the 12-week plan. I'm headed out tomorrow to buy the stuff.
I'm only doing three days worth of stuff to start because, frankly, buying even a week's worth of stuff all at once would be damn pricey! Also, I'm in school 8 hours a day and work one day on weekends, so I have little free time to do all the prep work and recipe-building ahead of time (at least right now). I figure three days' worth of stuff will stock me up pretty well on dry goods, oils & such that I'll end up using often anyway, and also give me plenty of produce to work with. I can make up my own quickie recipes (10+ years experience as a cook), supplement with smoothies and WFHO, and make Brendan's recipes when time permits.
I'm looking forward to being a part of this vibrant, positive community!

Hi Robert. I'm pretty new to all this too. The boards on here are all nice and friendly, so any questions can be posted. The vega people themselves are good at providing answers too, if you have questions specifically about their products. It's good to have support!
