Is vega sports performance optimizer safe during pregnancy?

I just found out that I am expecting and am curious if the vega sports performance optimizer is safe to continue to take? I plan on asking my Dr. when I have my first appointment in a month but wanted to see if anyone else had any information on the ingredients and whether they were safe during pregnancy.

Thanks!

I don't know the answer but congratulations! I like being alot of things in life but being a parent is my favorite.
It doesn't say on the bottle?

Yerba Mate comes with FDA cautions for pregnant and deffinately nursing mothers.
Ginseng root comes with a blood pressure warning, it can raise blood pressure and pregnant women have to watch blood pressure.
Devil's claw also comes with warnings SHOULD NOT BE USED DURING PREGNANCY.

I sourced this from Presciption for Nutritional Healing by Phyllis A. Balch, CNC (Avery 2006). So based on the Devil's Claw warning alone I would err on the side of caution. What happens during pregnancy is one of life and sciences greatest mysteries...Best let Nature take the wheel!

Congratulations! I'm with RawPeron...Parenthood is the greatest blessing! All the best to you!
First of all, congratulations!

And now on to your question: VSPO is the one in bunch that I would recommend avoiding during pregnancy. With about 100 mg of caffeine, similar to a cup of coffee, you're still within the "allowable" limit but there are varying perspectives on how much caffeine is okay. Jay (who I should hire!) outlined some of the other ingredients to avoid during pregnancy.
And how about all the other Vega products my prego wife would like to ask?
Thanks for all the insight and congratulations! I did a bit of research between posting this originally and now and found that there are some adverse effects from several of the herbs and ingredients used in VSPO. I guess I will just have to make due with out as I certainly do not want to chance any potential harm to the little nugget!

Thanks again!

This  was a good question as I am planning on next month to try again after a miscarriage. I'm sad though as I really like the sports line. :(  Does anyone know if it's ok to take the vega new shake that has just come out on the market?
