Anyone have some good tips for how to include dulse - or other sea veggies for that matter - in recipes? I've given it a try a couple times now but I can't say it's my favorite. Would love to figure out a way to include in my diet though since it's so nutritious.

I grind the dulse up in a coffee grinder and sprinkle it instead of salt. I add it to guacamole..

I am also lookiing for ways to consume it. I can't stop thinking I am eating fish food. The Guacamole idea is good...and I am sure it would probably be okay in homemade hummus as well! The obvious is sprinkle it into soups but I myself am not a soup eater.

Please help! LOL!

I recently purchased Seaweed: Natures Secret to Balancing Your Metabolism, Fighting Disease, and Revitalizing Body and Soul . I haven't tried any of the recipes yet, but I like what I see.

I'm looking for this too, I'm not a very picky eater but its one food I really don't like. I really need it though (I have hypothyroidism) so I've been trying to find ways to sneak it in. It just doesn't camoflage very well. My sister in laws mix a bit with water in a shot glass and drink it like well... shots with lemon and a bit of himalayan crystal salt :). I'd really like to find a way to actually like it. I think I'll try the guacamole :)

I can just hear my friends now as they see me shoot a dulse, sea salt & lemon mixture....if they did not understand my transition to a whole food plant based diet before, they never will. haha!

Is Nori a good substitute for dulse? I find Nori far more pleasant to smell and taste.

I eat them right out of the bag. I've been raised eating lots of seafood and sea veggies so eating Dulse is a new experience. :) How about putting them in salads or sandwiches or pasta?

The best way to use Dulse in my opinion is to add in to smoothies. I learned this from Tim Van Ordans running raw project where he speaks about making a great smoothie for an athlete on one of his video clips. You can find it on youtube or by going to his website called www.runningraw.com. Anyway, when used in a smoothie with fruit, kale and a few other things, you can't even tell it's there. Try it out!

I cut up small pieces of it and include some in my salad.......by the time you toss it with your homemade dressing....there is little taste left.....
ENJOY!
