Permalink Reply by Elana Goral on August 26, 2010 at 5:03am It depends. Are you trying to beat a certain time? How fast are you? how old? Do you have any pre-existing injuries? If you let me know these things, I can suggest a training plan for you--I train for 10ks and HMs often and have made training plans for many of my friends

Could you tell me just a couple more things? Do you have a history of any injuries? How much are you running right now (miles per week) and what is your longest run you do regularly? And are you looking to run the 10K in a specific time or just to complete it?
Good luck!

Permalink Reply by Heidi on September 22, 2011 at 11:50pm Great! Here's your plan: https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1S2P6S0yf0np0qw2PfGhU_km1kw... I've set it up for 6 weeks, and you can obviously cut off or add a week if you need to. Let me know if you have any questions!
