These containers are recyclable for sure, but I'd love to hear some of the creative ways Vega community members reuse theirs.

I reuse the short Vega containers to hold used batteries until I make a trip to the battery-recycling place.
I've reused the tall canisters to hold cat food (transferred in batches from big bags) and to hold bird food (again transferred in batches from big bags).

Great discussion Ann!

Here at Sequel, we reuse all our Vega containers in our merchandising. Instead of ordering in new packages for displays, the tubs and other packaging used up in the kitchen are reused.

I love your idea of reusing the tubs to hold cat food!
We use our containers to store dry snacks, dog food, and maybe this year the smaller containers will be used for christmas goodies.
Ladies, these are excellent suggestions.

Jeri & Erin, I feel like combining a couple of your suggestions, namely the kids arts supplies and using the smaller containers for xmas goodies.
Since the containers are white, you could easily decorate them using multicolored Sharpies both with and without stencils. Even the black containers could be decorated by using the metallic colors. Then just pop a bow on top and you're good to go. BTW, I always save and reuse bows, who'd have thunk that would be "in" one day?

I also thought about turning the small containers into kids (or adult) piggy banks.

Now, does anyone have any great ideas for removing the labels???
Woohoo! Erin, you were totally right.
Color me embarrassed, as I must have given up too easily before.

Great ideas Ann - I love the thought of making Christmas cookie jars! I find that the labels come off very easily if you just peel them off gently (container and lid).

I use the small ones to store batches of raw energy bites and other raw frozen treats :-)
and raw pumpkin and sunflower seeds - similar to Erin
I also find them useful when I travel -- I can tuck in ziplocs of snacks, single serve vega packets and bars all together in one container so nothing gets squished and I know where everything is - no mess or accidents :-)
I freeze fruit in the Smoothie packages and use the containers for beans and pasta and bird seed.
They make good gripping jars for sanchin practice.
Whoa, THAT is certainly a creative idea there, Dirk!
Remind me not to spar you. ;)
