share. learn. thrive!

hey guys! so I have heard from many people that gluten is what causes puffy stomach fat that is difficult to burn. does anyone know this for sure? I have recently started eating vegan and am considering restricting gluten as well. is anyone eating vegan and gluten free? what are your opinions?

thanks :)

You should check out this site that has a lot about wheat and belly fat.

I don't know the physiology behind this, but I can speak from experience. I have been vegan for some time now. In July 2010 I became sugar free (still occasionally have agava sweetened raw desserts or gluten free items) and in the spring of 2011 I became gluten free.  This all helped to shed some 15 lbs, but that last bit of weight mainly in the belly was still there. Now I've succeeded by eating mainly Thrive Diet recipes and the occasional three day juice fast to also reduce my belly. Some days it's practically not there - that's a first for me in 40 years. I'm attributing it to the nutrient dense, high fibre and appropriate oils in the Thrive Diet. Anyone else who can tell me what's helping to seemingly change "cellular/molecular" structures - hence less belly fat (??), I'd love to know what's happening and how I can further encourage it.
