I picked up a bag of sugar snap peas this weekend. I usually buy organic produce but grabbed these while doing a Costco run. I noticed that the ingredient list has a registered trademark on the sugar snap peas, the only ingredient listed. Does anyone know if this means its a GMO plant? Why else would they trademark?

It could also be that because of the fact that they are not genetically modified, they want to keep that particular strain of sugar snap peas as their own and sell them. Logically, you can trademark anything.
does the bag come with a PLU number (ie. like those stickers on apples)?

"If it is a 4-digit number, the food is conventionally produced.
If it is a 5-digit number beginning with an 8, it is GM. However, do not trust that GE foods will have a PLU identifying it as such, because PLU labeling is optional. [6]
If it is a 5-digit number beginning with a 9, it is
organic.[7]"
