Constipation

I love the product but the meal replacemnt contispates me and I dont understand why with all that fiber.. thank you I drinnk at leat 8 glasses of water a day??

Hello Danielle,

Some people do experience constipation upon first taking Vega Whole Food Health Optimizer. Some of the reasons for this are the extra pre-biotics, chlorella and fiber that are in the product that can this reaction.

Please make sure you drink a lot of water to help flush your system. The Whole Food Health Optimizer contains 15g of fiber and can cause constipation if not enough water is taken to help it pass through your system.

Many people find that when they slowly introduce Vega, 1/2 scoop the first week and increase the same each week after that, that these symptoms are reduced. That being said, these are temporary reactions and should let up after a few days.

Hum, nice response and very nice to know - I've had the same issue, I'll focus on drinking more water and hope it helps.
