Can the Whole Food Optimizer be used as a training drink?

Hi,

I usually train with protein powder and Greens+ so I have a mix of protein and carbs and everything else while I am training (studies prove it is an effective way to train).  Would the Whole Food Optimizer be a good replacement?  Looking at its ingredients I would think so, however I see it is only promoted as a pre-training drink OR post workout for breakfast. Thoughts?  Input?

Thanks!

Seeing as you want to use something that has a mix of protein and carbs during your workout, yes, the health optimizer would be a good choices and all in one so you don't have to buy a couple of prodcuts. Most often I find people use health optimizer as a daily meal or post-workout smoothie but this depends on activity. We also have Vega Sport Performance Optimizer which is a pre-workout drink for immediate and sustained energy. All the best with your training!

Hi Jane,

I put some thought into this myself and have a suggestion. You mention Greens+ I add Greens+ to my morning WFHO smoothie for the ultimate in cleansing and support. I'ld been using greens for a couple years so I wasn't bothered by any overcleansing reactions and taking both eliminated the tablet supplements I was taking...bonus!

The WFHO can be a bit filling for some if you find it a bit much to train on try this:
2-scoops (full serving) of the Vega WFHO
2 cups cold water
1 cup frozen berries
plus a couple ice cubes
The Greens+ may be optional at this point but Greens+Extra Energy would be a nice boost for training

Then drink a bit before, during and after training
