Permalink Reply by Solstice Son on May 7, 2012 at 5:58am Hi, Vega One and WFHO both have plant protein sources and recommend mixing with non-dairy beverages. (1) Is it alright to mix it with yogurt, goat milk or yogurt, kefir, or other dairy products? Food combining comes to mind, where proponents say not to eat two sources of protein at once, but many say science more or less debunks food combing, which may have a stronger placebo effect than actual. (2) Will the digestion of dairy protein and plant based proteins inhibit the full benefits? (3) Is it alright to mix Vega One/WFHO with other whey based protein powders?
I often mix my Vega One or WFHO with a non dairy beverage like almond, coconut, or another nut/seed milk as a base and go from there, adding yogurt because I like a thicker consistency.
Also, I often end up eating Vega One/WFHO at night, sometimes near right before bed. One because it's delicious and a very healthy dessert, and two because sometimes I feel I needed more protein that day and it's a great way to get it, among other vitamins and minerals. (4) Do you recommend taking Vega at night? I feel as though it would be good, and my body will use all the benefits it offers throughout my sleep to aid in building a healthy body and mind.

Ever since I've started my high intensity interval training routine 6 days a week, I drink VegaOne Vanilla Chai before and after each workout. If I'm tired that day, I'll drink the Pre-Performance Sport drink.
I was wondering, will drinking the Sport Recovery Protein be more beneficial than the VegaOne Vanilla Chai?
I get enough protein in my diet for my weight (40+grams for 110lbs). I know since I'm doing cardio and body-weight exercises, carbohydrates are essential for good recovery.
Should I stick to the VegaOne after each workout, or move over to the Sport Protein?
The VegaOne has so much more "goodness" (Greens, Carbs, Protein, Antioxidants) in it, I can't see the point of the Sports one. Please let me know!
Thanks, Nicole

I am new to vega and i really want to lose weight this summer. I am 180 pounds and want to lose at least 20 pounds. Please help me to know how to lose weight on vega. I am thinking about starting a liquid diet using vega as a meal replacement. I want to drink vega for breakfest, lunch, and eating one meal (salad) every day for the next 2 months. and if I need to snack then yogurt or fruit. If any of you have a better plan please share. Also i do plan to exercise, i walk in the mornings and work out in the evenings. Also another question is it ok to sip on vega all day?

We have never met before, but first wanted to say thank you for the amazing products that you have formulated. I'm looking forward to meeting you one of these days. I live in Montreal. I just joined the Vega community not so long ago and found out that of your events speaking is here in Montreal on Tuesday, May 29th. I really, really wanted to attend, but unfortunately have a prior engagement at 7:30pm that day which you are speaking from 7-9pm, so would only be able to stay like 10min, which means that I would be missing most of the event. I was wondering if it's possible to put the event for Wednesday the 30th instead or even Thursday, or even have the time earlier like around 5:30pm? I would be bringing someone with me to the event and might have more people, especially if the event would be Wednesday the 30th. Is it possible to speak on both Wednesday and Tuesday? If not, is it possible to know when the next time you would be in Montreal? I would really love to come to the seminar. Thanks.

Permalink Reply by Dee on June 13, 2012 at 2:01am Hi Brendan,
I purchased both Thrive and Thrive Fitness and they’ve been really helpful. Since following the diet plan, I’ve lost some body fat and gained strength.
I am a mountain biker who rides trails once a week; I do 70k long rides on my road bike, and three sessions of kettlebells with callisthenics each week (less than one hour per session). I’m currently training to compete in more MTB Enduro events next year.
My only question relates to protein consumption. How much do I need to take in order to carry on increasing strength and not lose it due to endurance training? There are lots of articles that suggest 0.7 to 1gm of protein per kg of lean body weight; however, I wanted to understand your take on it as the recipes in Thrive are not overly protein heavy.
Best Regards,
Dee (London, UK)
Ps. Can we get Vega supps in the UK?
